I was in Kiev September 9, 2013 and booked this wonderful walking tour. My guide Maria picked me up from my hotel which was a "boat hotel", and so it was a ride away from the main sights of Kiev. I had used the public transportation the day before and so Maria asked me which sights I have already seen. It was nice that she customized the tour itself so that I don't see the same places I saw on my own the day before.

Kiev has such beautiful churches and my favorite was the St. Sophia Cathedral - an amazing piece of art indeed! The image of Maria Oranta was a sight to behold.

I also liked the fact that my guide Maria asked me if I wanted to ride the bus too, and I said I did so I was also able to use the bus like the local. The subway in Kiev is of course very impressive, being so deep into the ground with such lengthy escalators. Maria also spoke very good English, and her explanations and stories about the impressive sights of Kiev were clear and interesting.
A truly good walking tour I would recommend to my friends, especially for those who have a short time in Kiev and need to see the major landmarks quickly.

What a wonderful time I had in Kyiv!!! Although I had been there before, I did not have a tour guide as knowledgeable as Maria. I was so impressed by her in so many ways. First of all, her command of English is exceptional which was a pleasant surprise compared to other tour guides I had in the past. She has knowledge of everything in Kyiv geographically and her knowledge of the history of the city, all its buildings and all of its history is amazing. We had a great time taking buses and the subway all over the city. She even knew the history of all the metro stations we saw. I will return to Kyiv again with the confidence that she arranges everything so efficiently. She met me at the airport with taxi waiting and then took me to my beautiful flat which was so reasonably priced and central to downtown near Independence Square, as I had requested. I certainly recommend her to arrange your stay in Kyiv.

We spent two spectacular days this August visiting Kiev's famous historical places and attractions with Maria.
