I offer You an interesting excursion program, which includes an overview of the main attractions of Kiev city: You will see the impressive ancient temples of princely times (St. Sophia and St. Michael's Cathedral), Kiev of the XVII-XIX centuries (Pechersk's aristocratic buildings — the contribution of very talented architect V.Gorodetsky, the mansions of Kiev nobility and numerous cultural objects also) and modern Kiev, where is hard not to notice the traces of the Soviet era. Let's visit the heart of the capital - Maidan or Independence Square, spacious Khreschatyk, walk on Vladimir's Hill, Mariinsky Park, Park of Eternal Glory with the monument to Unknown Soldier, let's admire the spectacular views near the famous place — Askold's Grave. Kiev is divided into the Upper and Lower and the most important monuments of ancient times, the main tourist street — St. Andrew's Descent, wide Dnieper embankment and bridges, framing it — all this You will see too!
Of course, a special role is played by the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra — one of the centers of the Orthodox world and one of the first masculine monasteries of the ancient Kievan Rus. Founded in XI century, this holy abode is still the place of spiritual pilgrimage and is also the huge museum complex. You will visit the Trinity Gate Church, which was founded more than 900 years, the restored Assumption Cathedral — the main church, the Refectory (the end of the XIX century), numerous historic galleries and mysterious Near-Off and Far-off Catacombs, where are the relics of the saints and founders of the monastery. Take some pure spring water from the holy sources and feel all the grace of this place...
It is also proposed to visit the Museum of microminiatures of N. Syadrystyi (the collection consists of the unique works of the only one master, made by hand and You can see it with a microscope);
Museum of Historical Treasures of Ukraine (contains one of the richest collections of golden articles in the ex-USSR, as there are exhibits of precious stones and metals from the Bronze Age to the present) .
I wish You nice impressions and be in excellent mood!

For the visit at Pechersk Lavra, I highly recommend to ask for Yuliya. She's one of the most enthusiastic guides I've had and seems to know the stories behind every mural, icon, relic and stone of this religious place!
Thank you for a great tour of Kiev!
