Kiev - the Ancient and Ever Young

Kiev is one of the oldest cities in Europe with a great number of invaluable historical monuments (more than 2000), since the X-XII centuries preserved for the descendants.

We will start from the Old Kiev mountain — the heart of ancient Kiev. Around here is St. Andrew's Church — the zest of Andrew's descent. This place is full of beautiful legends. Next, go to Podol — the old trade district. There are a lot of interesting things: House of Contracts, temples of the XVII-XIX centuries, the town hall, as well as another Kiev landmark — Funicular! After rising up, we are on the St. Michael's Square, where will enjoy the views of St. Michael's Cathedral, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, as well as the panorama of St. Sophia Cathedral. St. Sophia of Kiev of the XI century, with its unique mosaics and frescoes, still remains the main shrine, a "visiting card" of Kiev. Moreover we will admire the magnificent building of the National Opera named after T. Shevchenko, certainly will see the main entrance to the ancient city — Golden Gate (XI century) and St. Vladimir's Cathedral — one of the most important and popular places of worship in Kiev. Then we drive through one of the directest and longest streets of Kiev — Shevchenko's boulevard, the avenue of poplar trees. Here there are the old Botanical Garden, Kiev National University and a monument to the first unofficial President of Ukraine — M. Ghrushevsky. And finally — Bessarabska Square and Bessarabian Market. The main street of Kiev city — incomparable Khreschatyk, with a huge number of various shops, including a well-known Central Department Store and the central square of the country — Maidan, really impress a lot! And then, let's go to the government district, where are the National Bank of Ukraine, House with Chimeras and Ukrainian "White House" — the Administration of the President of Ukraine. In short, that's all worth of seeing, so come and make sure that Kiev not only affects by the abundance of greenery and beauty of architecture, but also by the grandeur of antiquity and its youthful character...

Welcome to Kiev — the Ancient and Ever Young!

Hello, my name is Jose and I am from Panama. Yes, I came from very far away to see Ukraine and when I got to Kiev, I had the good fortune to find this agency whose very amiable tour guide Maria left me with a longing for Kiev that has made me come back to it. It is a beautiful city made alive by the history and comments of this friendly guide who has a contagious love for her city. Congratulations on an excellent guide Maria. I highly recommend the services of this agency, and to this guide I say thank you for making me discover Kiev in all its beauty, history and customs.
